Together, anything is possible
What do you dream of?
Tell the world your dream. Gather the people, resources and funding to make it real, one goal at a time.
Every kind of dream
How it works
Like Kickstarter, for your life
Share your dream
Add a cover photo or a video of you telling the world what you dream of.
Set your goals
Break it into the people, resources and money you need. Each goal you check off moves the dream forward.
Grow your circle
Post updates to your dream's feed. Followers cheer you on, and helpers apply to join.
Three kinds of goals
Most dreams need more than money. Every dream can ask for all three.
People
Recruit team members, mentors and moderators who share the work and post updates with you.
Resources
A rehearsal space, a laptop, a place to stay. Ask for the things money alone can't find.
Funding
Raise money for the parts that cost money, with no deadline and no all-or-nothing pressure.
“Dreams are more likely to come true when you share them with others.”
Project Dreambox began as a solar powered video booth that recorded over 3,000 dreams at festivals around the world. Read our story
Questions
What is a dream?+
Any goal that matters to you: starting a band, building a product, healing from an illness, finding family, or falling in love. A dream page is a hub for everything you need to make it real.
How is this different from Kickstarter or GoFundMe?+
Those platforms collect money. Project Dreambox collects people, resources and money, because most dreams need all three. There are no deadlines and no all-or-nothing campaigns.
How is progress measured?+
Every dream has goals. As goals are checked off, the dream's completion percentage rises, until the dream comes true.
Can more than one person run a dream?+
Yes. People can apply to join as a moderator, manager or admin, and every team member can post to the dream's news feed.
I recorded a dream at the Dreambox booth. Where is it?+
We're bringing booth recordings onto the site. If we have your dream, we'll email you an invitation to claim it and make it yours.
Does it cost anything?+
Sharing a dream and helping others is free. Collecting payments directly on the site is coming later.
